A Late 19th, Early 20th Century Iraqi Marsh Arab Silver Dagger or Jambiya. Featuring a Curved Body with with engraved floral & palm tree motifs along body with yellow metal diamond shaped inlays.
A janbiya dagger, is an Arabic term for a specific type of dagger with a short, curved blade. It also has a medial ridge that is thought to have originated from Yemen. These daggers are most closely associated with the peoples of Yemen, Najran and Saudi Arabia.
Total Length: 34.5cm Blade Length: 8cm. Condition: Overall in good condition for age, some minor scuffs to scabbard and oxidation to blade.
